day 33

there is something so beautiful in the faded elegance of this woman

day 32

in honor of my painting class tonite...a door, heavily abstracted

day 31

inspired by s's picture of a church steeple

day 30

scribbles on a window

day 29

we went to costco, target and ikea today...overwhelming, chaotic big box store day

day 28

i love the play between the orange of the door
and the warmth of the brick

day 27

obviously these are my favorite kinds of photos

day 26

preparing for the new roomie...

not the most aesthetically pleasing photo..i just wanted to show our apartment in shambles

day 25

we were the only ones in the diner...there's nothing better than that

day 24

these boots were made for walking

day 23

jasper worked late today...i took this from the car
while waiting. terrible grain in this photo, no?

and i'm back! sorry for the delay...between an exciting new roommate and general laziness on my part, i have been neglecting my little corner of the internet. please forgive me and enjoy my new favorite blog--sooishi. french + delicious food + gorgeous photography = happiness for my eyes and belly.

and later tonite--a much needed update to project 365...yes, eleven new photos...see you then

day 22

hands down the best bagels i have had in this city...
finally somewhere that understands that they must be boiled first.
yum.

day 21

i actually hate this picture (i think the shawl
and glasses make me look like lenny kravitz) but it's
the only thing i took today.

day 20

actually, this is the last place you will lie

day 19

something about the interaction between the grass, the graffiti and the light

day 18

the back of hospitals are not very pretty

day 17

i worked at 6:30 am this morning...do i look sleepy or what?

although it seems to have run into a few problems with ebay, the kim family auction will resume bidding by this weekend. it's a wonderful opportunity to get design objects that go to a great cause. if you do not remember, james kim and his family were stranded in their car over thanksgiving and he passed away, braving the elements and trying to save his family.

the image is of stephanie barnes' owl & pussycat...in their beautiful pea green boat.

it's been awhile since i posted little design bits...i suppose it was a sort of holiday. at any rate, i'm back with this lovely little website. kenziekate, a wedding invitation designer from brooklyn, has added a sketchbook section to her website. filled with delicate pencil drawings of beautiful women and typography, it's a look into the design process of this talented designer.

day 15

jasper bought a motorcycle today...from his doppelganger.
i'm not kidding...the guy looked just like him. it was kinda creepy.

day 14

i made a huge life decision while in the shower today...and slept
soundly for the first time all week
